He nods at her insistence, as always believing her without question because they never lie to each other. His eyes fix on hers too, as ever trying to remember to blink water out even though he can't feel it. Karen comes towards him and he isn't sure what to expect, taking in a sharp breath when her hand alights on his chest. It's meaningless because he can't feel her, physically, but his heart still speeds up under her touch. Here he goes being brave again, concentrating on lifting his hand up and coiling it gently around her wrist, callouses catching on the soft skin to be found there. He can tell himself it's all for her benefit because he's numb, but he can see and hear everything happening, he's more present than he's been in at least a week since this whole thing started. His eyes drag up along her body, taking it in for the first time and feeling greedy just to have the vantage point.
