"I showed up at the end of all that," Jim explains, making a face. He remembers hearing the music but it had shut off pretty quickly after he'd gotten there so it hadn't really affected him besides giving him a few ear worms. Earth music was catchy that way.

"Some people don't take to torture very well, I guess." Jim had been through a lot both physically and mentally so he's pretty sure he has to include himself in that group though he wants to think that he'd have more willpower than most.

"Can't say I blame them," Jim adds, shrugging. "Not really a fact of life."
