"I didn't need rescuing," Matt insists. He is grateful though. Truly. He just doesn't know how to have a civil conversation with Frank. He understands that the marine has gone through a lot - a lot more than most people should ever have to suffer. Matt's stomach still churns uneasily and sinks sometimes when he's given change in dimes and pennies. But he's not the only one who's lost someone. They don't all take to shooting up his city, they don't all weaponise their pain, and nobody, not even Frank Castle, gets a free pass to take the law into his own hands.

"He's not a good man." Matt shifts to sit down on the floor, resting the back of his head against the wall. He plants his feet firmly on the floor and rests his hands on his knees. "But he's not a bad one, either."
