Matt's not going to comment on Frank losing his sense of touch. He's not necessarily more or less worried - he just has to deal with it the same way he's dealt with losing his sight and the occasional disabling of his hearing. He has to wonder why Frank is bringing it up though. Maybe he knows.
"Sounds like a cop-out," Matt points out, echoing exactly what Frank was thinking. He doesn't pass off as a mindreader for nothing. It's one thing to have everyone play to their strengths. Another to stick their heads in the sand and pretend everything will be fine.
"You've been taking care of her." It wasn't a question. As Matt clambers onto the elevator holding his hurt hand against his chest he turns his head in Frank's direction. "Someone who puts her first ought to."
