The Operator listens with growing apprehension as Regor continues in his rambling, already inching back out of his considerable grabbing range. When he finally reaches the punchline, they spend a good moment just staring dumbly at him before a grin breaks out on their face. He still doesn’t know.
They’re so relieved that the blithely insulting jabber afterwards rolls of of them like water off a condroc’s back.
“Could’ve been worse,” they reply breezily. They could’ve been placed in an even younger body or one with even fewer capabilities. At least this one can walk and talk. And at least it isn’t Grineer. As for where they’re from, that’s hard to answer when the only home they’ve known is the Orbiter.
“I don’t know,” they answer after a long moment, not sounding particularly bothered by the fact. And, because they’re a little shit who knows they can get away with it, they tilt their head in a show of interest, playing into Regor’s assessment of them as a child.

“You’ve seen a Tenno before?”
