If leadership has taught me anything, it's that you cannot live your life by what ifs. It will drive you mad if you try.

[ How many hours had she spent asking her own set of questions, wondering how things might have gone differently had she taken another path. What if she had stayed on Naboo during the Trade blockade? Would lives have been spared that were instead lost? What if she hadn't accepted Queen Jamillia's request to act as Senator? Would someone else have handled the Separatist issues differently or been able to persuade more to stand against the Military Creation Act? But in the end, it always came down to the fact that she had to make her choices and stand by them, even when it was a simple matter of her own health. ]

If we don't take care of ourselves, we can't look after others. We can't do what we must to keep our people safe.
