1099, 1603, 1707, and 1869 are the years I remember clearest. It seemed that house placed itself where it was most needed, regardless of time and space. Unusual, is it not? But for me, it was commonplace.

I can't imagine it is something you've never thought of. The 1800s were a time of great change, when man created machine and man wondered if machine would overtake him. In such a fashion, it was probably inevitable that so many turned to spirituality and the unknown to wonder how far their inventions and machines would take them. Harsh metal was everywhere to be seen, medicine was rapidly developing... Surely, in a time like that is where a home such as mine would end up eventually.
