[9S said he would be back to check up on Kira, but he kind of wishes he hadn't left him alone at all. He crouches beside him even before he asks for help, a frown and furrowed brow accompanying the slightly dazed look in his eyes.

He might have had a little too much to drink too. It was only through the grace of him being easily distracted that he wasn't in the exact same position.]

I told you... [Siiiigh.] What a pain. Grab on.

[9S extends his hand.]

[You weren't going to get Kira agreeing with your 'I told you so', but he'll gratefully take the android's hand, pulling on it a little as he got first to his knees, and then slowly to his feet.]

Thhhank ya, my dude.

[He giggles a little at that.]

You really did come back for me, huh?

[9S does his best to help steady Kira on his way up, and even after he's finished he's still holding his hands out at the ready.]

Of course I did! I said I would. Soo, uh... [He surveys the room around them. At this point the party has begun to slow down, and the empty bottle of whiskey at their feet is just another one to add to the pile. He leans down to pick it up, giving the label a curious look.

Yikes!

This thing was 40% alcohol? He had trouble with the ones that were 4%...

He puts the bottle back down on the floor.]

Let's get you back to your room? I can walk you there.

[That was good though, because Kira wasn't exactly the most steady he's ever been. He does smile at how earnest 9S was. He did say he'd come check up on him, and here he is, doing just that. What a good guy.]

Yeah, yeah. Back to my room. It's uh... 5.15.

[He would honestly probably have just slept there on the floor if he wasn't helped up, but with Nines there, he was going to at least attempt to make it to his bed, leaning on him in order to steady himself a little.]

[9S puts a hand at his back, more than willing to lend a shoulder as they head for the exit and enter the corridor.]

5.15? Hey, that's right down the hall from me!

[As exciting as that is, that also means they have to go up two decks. This is going to be a long walk.]

Sooo... Is there anything I should grab on the way there? Water? Food?

[It's a long walk, for sure.]

... Water... might be good. [He didn't want it before, but in order to temper the hangover he was sure to have, he would take it.]

A little water to sit next to my bed, I guess. Yeah.

[The android was very sturdy despite his size, which Kira was surprised about for about a whole minute before remembering- ah right, he's an android.]

... Y'know... You're real soft for having metal bits.

Okay, I'll make a quick stop by the Mess Hall on deck 2.

[But that would require going down a deck. With this guy in tow, that's really inefficient.] Er, after I get you settled, that is.

[The compliment about his texture, of all things, makes him flush. 9S almost loses his grip on Kira entirely.]

Oh, t-thank you! Humans like things that are aesthetically pleasing, or so I've heard.

[That was the drink talking but WHATEVER. No regrets. It was real nice of him to get him some water after taking him to his room. He didn't have to.]

Yeah, soft things are nice to touch.

[This time 9S really does stumble, his approximation of a stomach twisting into knots, and his pulse leaping into his throat.]

Huh? [He "loves" him? He's sure he must have misheard him. There's no way a human would...love an android, right?]

O-oh, uh... You're welcome! Haha... I think the drink's talking?

[9S starts leading them along again.] I guess it is pretty weird for a combat android to be "soft"...

[Arid had told him about the "companion" androids of her world, but that wasn't his purpose. Then what was the purpose of them being such perfect imitations? He can't help but wonder. The aliens didn't model the machines after themselves.]

But I don't mind--I mean, if you like it.

The drinks don't make you nicer or softer, do they?

[No, but ecstasy might. Also the drinks may skew his vision of love, but he was very much the kind of drunk to profess loving his friends.]

[But you know if he didn't MIND, then Kira would just go ahead and squish 9S' cheeks. Would you feel that?! That's crazy. Almost like skin.]

I always thought androids would be like The Terminator. Which I guess isn't completely wrong, that guy had skin too, right? But you're like...??? I dunno.

Well, no... But high levels of alcohol in your system might skew your judgement.

[He was using an old human turn of phrase, he didn't think he'd have to explain it.]

Erk-- [When 9S made the suggestion that Kira could touch him some more, having his cheeks squished wasn't quite what he imagined.

He gulps. Between the awkward face touching and the weird compliments, 9S just blurts out his next words.]

I'm glad I could help, Crow! If you ever need anything, don't be afraid to ask.

[God, what kind of a combat android even IS this guy? He looks small for combat, and he's just friendly and a little shy. What a weird future he must come from.]

Crow, eh? Yeah. I like that.

[Yes, he liked that a lot. Matched with his black wings. Kira ruffled 9S' hair at that, smiling at him as he leaned a little bit, kind of... putting probably too much weight on him. Or at least he would have been if 9S were not an android.]

Really? [9S beams when the name he chose is accepted. Honestly, he'd been afraid he wouldn't like it. It wasn't his place to name a human, but since Crow had asked...

Oof, he's getting heavy, but 9S still weights nearly twice as much. This is nothing he can't handle.]

Yuki, huh... [He's still not sure about it, but it's starting to grow on him? It was less about the name and more about the fact that they had something they could share, that didn't belong to anyone else.] Okay, Crow, let's get you back to your room.

[He starts leading them full speed ahead, or as fast as an android helping a drunk guy down a hall can be.]

Yeah, really.

[Kira grinned at his new good buddy, his arm wrapped around 9S' shoulders as if they were just good drinking buddies... one of which was going to have to be the designated driver, clearly.

He's doing his best to keep up with 9S, only stumbling here or there, almost as if he were practiced in this.]

Hey, did you drink? Can you drink?

[9S will slow down a little if Crow's really having trouble; he's in no rush. He's kind of enjoying the weight on his shoulders, and the company.]

I drank some, yeah. It didn't taste very good.

[Any time he has trouble, he's just going to use Yuki as his support, and can usually keep up pretty well.]

Haha, yeah. It's not real good tasting stuff. Did it at least give you a buzz though?

[How would an android get a buzz from alcohol, right?]

[9S tilts his head, the turn of phrase unfamiliar.]

Uhh, no? It just made me feel kind of...tired? Like I can't focus. I think my logic circuits are malfunctioning.

That sounds like a buzz to me, honestly. God, that's pretty crazy. Better not have been some permanent damage though. I like you like you are. I'll fight alcohol if it fucked you up.

[So this is what a "buzz" feels like? He's not sure if he really likes it or not, but he'll try anything once.

[What a good kid. Kira would die for him. Kira would kill for him. He's decided that just now, and makes a pointed mental note of it.]

Ah... now you're just tryin' to butter me up~ [He trips a little over his feet as he leans into give Yuki a hug, his arms squeezing around him a little. If he was a person it might be hard to breathe, but he's an android, he's fine, right???]

I think you're already like one of my favorite people on this heap.

No way, I really mean it! Sometimes it's a real pain when I always have to be on my best behavior, and--

[9S is cut off by Crow's embrace, taking a sharp inhale. He looks at him, bewildered, but accepting the embrace all the same--even if he doesn't quite reciprocate.]

R-really? [It's impossible to hide the excitement in his voice. No one's ever told him that before.]

[What a sweet, perfect boy. Was Kira crying? He might be crying a little. How dare he??? Too innocent, like a very young and naive angel.

Instead of answering verbally, Kira grabs Yuki's cheeks again, squishing them but this time just planting a kiss on his lips.]

I'm not a liar, either.

[Oh, more cheek squishing. It's more annoying the second time, and he wants to emphasize that he's not a child, but 9S doesn't have the chance. Because it's then that Crow's visage suddenly fills his vision and he feels something soft press against his lips.

When he pulls back, 9S lifts his finger to cover his mouth. He can hear his pulse hammering in his ears. Whatever he was going to say, he's totally forgotten it.]

Huh?

[He kissed him? Was it an accident? No, it was pretty deliberate, and it definitely happened. He can still feel a ghost of pressure there when he pulls his hand back.

9S fumbles for a response.]

Oh, ah. Haha. Well, I guess that proves it!

[No, he really doesn't get it at all! Humans are his creators, they're not supposed to see androids as their equals, but... Is it wrong that it was kind of nice? He's feeling a clash of emotions, but a sense of euphoria stands above them all. He's never been kissed before.]

[Kira smiles like a fool at the 'thanks', holding Yuki still by the face as he just kind of stared at the android. It was amazing to look at him. This was an android, a person built, designed by humanity in it's image. And how very like them he was.]

You like that...? I got more where that came from.

[How he hoped humanity cared more for these androids than God did for His creations. But if they didn't, that was fine. He would care for them in their place.]

...Did you maybe. Wanna spend the night with me?

[ venus has been watching this for like. literal minutes. literal minutes of her watching from a respectable distance, all eyes trained on the devil and the android. when kira escalates it to a kiss, one hand flies up to cover her mouth - scandalous! the drama!! two cute boys kissing each other, and even if she's not 9S's biggest fan she's all for kira getting his smooch on!

and then that comes out of kira's mouth, and the other hand comes up to her mouth. oh my god. oh my god is- is kira going to get laid? she doesn't know if she feels scandalized, or proud, or sort of jealous?? she's just SO HAPPY FOR HIM.

she doesn't say anything. she just watches like a giant awkward nerd. if 9S looks over, she'll immediately pretend she hasn't seen anything; if kira looks over, she'll immediately give him two thumbs up.
