Rogue is one such person who has the fortune of seeing a handsome stranger's head poke around her open door. Perched on the bed in the small room, legs crossed while thumbing through the Charles Dickens volume that had been left behind by the room's previous occupant, a visitor is the very last thing she'd been expecting. He's not the least bit unwelcome though, and she sits up straighter and calls after as he starts to duck back out.
"Sugar, wait!" Her southern drawl comes out loud and clear in response to that Texas twang she hears in his voice, the sound of the South tugging at her heartstrings something fierce. Lord but she's missed hearing someone who sounds like home. "Did you just wake up?"
