There's a chance their feelings are just too similar to tell apart, but he knows that could just be wishful thinking. So he turns his attention back to Frank instead, and his expression shifts from discomfort to something sympathetic. He's been there -- lost everything. Even himself. And Mako's come just short of that. If they hadn't woken up here, he's not sure where either of them would have wound up. At least here they have each other.
