Naomi is, actually, half-searching for Alex already. Most mornings, one of them will knock on the other's door and they'll do their sweep together. But not always -- sometimes one of them isn't ready, or couldn't sleep and headed out earlier, so she thinks nothing of it when Alex doesn't answer her knock that morning. Just keeps an eye out for him should their paths cross. Sometimes they mix it up and start from the top, so there's a chance. If she doesn't encounter him at all she'll check in again at his room later. No big deal. Or so she thought.

She's examining a damaged panel on deck three when the clang of approaching mag boots gets her attention. Gets her to look up, only to see that it's Alex, rumbled and visibly distressed. Without a second thought she drops the frayed wire she was twisting back together and reaches to catch him before he plows straight into her in his haste.

"Alex? Are you hurt?"
