Demons, monsters, vampires, and all other manners of creatures are commonplace where I am from. Perhaps people like my father are more of a legend or myth to some, hoping otherwise, but you would find few who could debate our existence.

It is odd to find it so different here. How quickly people would refute it, yet embrace science, a thing most feared in Wallachia and misunderstood.
