OPEN; loth-cat time
» WHO? Ezra Bridger & you!
» WHEN? May, after Ezra receives his white Loth-cat
» WHERE? Around the station
» WHAT? Loth-cat shenanigans!
» WARNINGS? N/A
[So Ezra's made a friend. The creature is cat-like if not exactly a cat, and those from his galaxy might recognize it as a breed of tooka. Whatever it is, it mostly sticks close to him and can be seen with him throughout the station.]
I. HALLWAYS
[Were you enjoying a nice walk around the station, maybe going to meet a friend or get a drink? Too bad because now there's a Loth-cat running straight at you. Tailing behind it is Ezra yelling,]
Hey, wait! Stop!
[The Loth-cat starts running faster and looks as if it's about to pounce- when Ezra stops in his place.]
Oh, right! [His voice is calmer when he speaks again.] Stop.
[And the Loth-cat stops! It looks much more peaceful now.]
Sorry 'bout that.
II. MESS HALL
[Today the Loth-cat's sitting on top of the table Ezra's seated at. He's set out a small saucer of milk for it as he eats his food. Except... it keeps reaching for his food.]
I already fed you! And you've got your milk! Look, I know it's not blue, but it's almost the same! [He sighs.] Okay... just a little.
III. OBSERVATION DECK
[Ezra's kneeling at the edge of the observation deck, observing the deck with the Loth-cat. Or rather, they're observing beyond the deck and... space and stuff.]
So that's- actually, I don't what that planet's called. Or any of this. But you know... you're from Lothal. Or I think you are? Are you?

[Hajime was actually on his way to the gym when he sees the... something? dog? running right for him. He freezes, taking an uncertain step back as if he might run away, but stops when he hears Ezra's voice. Not because he thinks Ezra is telling him to stop, mind, but because it'd be pretty undignified to run away from a dog that isn't like. Barking or being aggressive.]
I-It's fine, but... what is it?
[It seems really well trained, now that it's, you know. Stopped properly and didn't jump on him.]

You don't have tooka on Earth? I mean, this is a Loth-cat, but still. Weird.
no subject
[He repeats it, shaking his head and taking a tentative few steps closer, crouching within arm's length of the animal. He's still eying it a little warily, but Ezra seems fine with it, so it's... probably fine?]
I've never heard of tooka, either. Did you find it here?

he's sure he can catch the animal if necessary — but in the end, it doesn't pounce. )
What sort of being is this? ( he asks ezra when he approaches. it seems to belong to him, or at least he knows about it. ) I did not expect to see any animals on this station.

It's a Loth-cat. And honestly? Me neither. This little guy just showed up outside my door.
And then ran off. But we're good now!

( her expression is curious, uncertain what the creature by the man is. it looks like an animal, friendlier than some of the things that she'd seen but as yet she didn't know. she'd also never heard of the place that he'd mentioned -- a town, country, or something of space? )

[He admits with a slightly sheepish grin.]
I guess I could try actually asking it?

( though vanessa had also never seen a creature like this before. maybe this was a different type of creature than what she knew )
Do you know what it is?

Well done.
[ he steps forward, frowning a little down at the cat as he drops into a crouch. ] --Is this a tooka?
no subject
Yeah, or well, it's a Loth-cat specifically. From Lothal.

he reaches down, scratching the cat briefly, then rising to his feet again, glance lifting to the younger man again. as usual, his eyes are a little intense, stare strangely heavy, but his expression is one of simple interest. ]
Where did it even come from? It's the first animal I've seen here.

Erika makes a habit of not really talking during meals. It stresses her out, and there's already enough stress in this space station life to go around, and she likes to keep her food down because eating it is enough of a chore as it is.
This, though. This is worth breaking policy for.
Erika stands awkwardly and conspicuously at a distance for a few minutes and watches the Loth-cat do its weird beady-eyed thing before finally edging close enough to ask:]
...What is that?
no subject
[He's so distracted by the task of making sure the Loth-cat doesn't eat all of his food that he doesn't notice her until she speaks up.]
Oh. It's a Loth-cat.
[His tone makes it sound like that's the most normal thing in the world.]

She has no idea of the danger she's in until she hears Ezra's yell. She turns around to find the loth-cat at her feet. She stares back for a moment before looking to Ezra.]
What is this?

[It looks completely docile now, as compared to the fierce predator Samus almost faced.]
It's fine now, so don't worry.

Do they talk?
[His voice is coming from a few meters to Ezra's side: one of the communication consoles built into the room. A blue-tinged logo flickers to life, filling the screen—before glitching, quickly, to an asymmetrical hash.]

You...reside in the room next to my own, yes? 420? [ BLAZE IT ]
no subject
Yeah. You're in... 419 then, right?
[He chose his room for no reason, no reason at all, just happened upon it obviously.]
Anyways, where would I even find a leash here? Not that I'd put one on this little guy. I mean, he's not a house tooka.
