@all (from @r.asuka)
[ On the morning of the 15th, there is a network-wide ping issued approximately twenty-three minutes after the roster is released to the public. ]
Hello.
As I'm certain you all are aware, a roster has been sent to each of our devices. Given that this is yet another item on a growing list to be examined by us all, I believe it's important for each of us to come together to discuss any possible concerns or ideas that may require teamwork.
@PALPATINE and I earlier discussed the possibility of a non-compulsory meeting to sort through these issues. We agreed it would be in our best interests.
If you're inclined, please come to the Mess Hall at 19:00 in three day's time.
[ ooc: so! this will be broken down into sub-headings as discussed on the ooc plot post and utilized as a kind of "catch-all." if you think anything needs to be added at any time, please feel free to contact me through pm, at
rasasvada, or on disco at morning star#3715. or, you know, add it yourself! i don't mind.
noticeably, this is self-directed! if you character wants to speak or make a point to everyone, feel free to do so. no one is policing how this goes or making introductory comments or whatever else. open floor, y'all. ]

One step at a time, yeah. Once we get down to that planet we could see if-
... Hey, no one's noticed any ships flying around here, right? To and from the planet, or even just in the general vicinity? Nothing, right?
no subject
[He was bored.]
The only moving things out there seem to be those moons, maybe a comet here or there.
no subject
[At least this guy is... interesting? That's the nicest thing he can say about him.]
But that's not a great sign. You'd think with a big station like this above a planet, that there'd be ships too. And I was thinking if we got down there, we could ask about where we are and get some more information. But they don't seem to have starships or anything like that. There might not even be anyone down there at all. This whole situation is weird, but... it feels like it keeps getting weirder and weirder, you know?

Honestly, I have never seen a bunch of traffic, but there are space stations around the planet I come from. We just can't go up and down often. Launches and stuff are pretty expensive.
The fact that you're used to like, space traffic? That's the weird thing to me.
no subject
[Although he doesn't get why it'd be expensive... he knows Earth has primitive technology, but that's a factor he hadn't considered.]
I guess this planet could be one with a space station, but limited space travel? But we should be getting signals from people on the planet, still.
no subject
Well, if they don't know we're up here... who knows? I imagine they don't like leave lines of communication open forever. Maybe if we could get our hands on some kind of radio, we could see if they've got anything going on.
I'd also keep an eye out for satellites.
no subject
Yeah, that's a good idea. I guess it all boils down to keep an eye out for anything and try everything we can, though.
no subject
[Not even a little. That was sarcasm.]
I'd rather just get down to the planet sometime.
no subject
[Still...]
It'll probably be best if the first people we send are those used to space travel and piloting a starship.
