Hello.

As I'm certain you all are aware, a roster has been sent to each of our devices. Given that this is yet another item on a growing list to be examined by us all, I believe it's important for each of us to come together to discuss any possible concerns or ideas that may require teamwork.

@PALPATINE and I earlier discussed the possibility of a non-compulsory meeting to sort through these issues. We agreed it would be in our best interests.

If you're inclined, please come to the Mess Hall at 19:00 in three day's time.

[ Apollo sticks to the sidelines, arms crossed as he leans against the wall, and watches the initial discussions. He quietly decides to keep most of his opinions to himself (for now); his main objective in being here is to make sure that nobody gets any funny ideas about filling any of the more militaristic positions on the roster. Because fuck that.

But when it comes to exploring the station Apollo realises he has plenty more to say.

Apollo steps forward, clearing his throat; he fits the classic superhero dimensions, tall and broad-shouldered, with muscles to spare and a faint golden glow about him that’s quite literally his sunny disposition. ]

For those who don’t know me already, I’m Apollo. Or 'Apollo2' according to the network. [ He raises a hand in greeting, knowing this is the first time some people have met him in person. ]

I’ve got a pretty select skillset and I want to apply it to making sure we get off this station as quickly as possible. Or, if it isn’t possible, to making sure we survive out here as long as it takes for someone to rescue us. If we manage to find out along the way who brought us here and why then that’s great but I’m not too bothered about stopping to ask questions.

[ Which is to say, someone else can do the thinking. Apollo’s here to do the punching. ]

I’m sure people have said this already but I’ll say it again: finding the command deck feels like it should be the number one priority as far as exploring is concerned. That’s where we’re going to find answers about where we are and if we can take this station out of orbit or not. Which means getting through those locked doors until we find a command center.

So does anyone have any good ideas on which doors to focus our efforts on? We aren't short on locked doors but our resources are finite, what with the defense mechanism. I was thinking it would make sense for it to be on deck one, but I guess it could be anywhere.

Any thoughts?

[From where Alucard has positioned himself against the wall, his head had been bowed and his eyes closed. When he hears Apollo speak, slowly he opens his eyes and looks up, listening to him.

He gives a small shrug and admits:] I have no real recommendations as to where the command deck would be in a ship like this. Deck one sounds accurate, but it's still a gamble.

Regardless, should you need assistance in bypassing the locked doors, I will help you. The more I can conserve my strength, the more useful I will be for the occasion.

It's a gamble but hopefully it's logical for us to start at the top and work downwards. Hopefully.

[ It's better than just picking decks at random, at least. He gives Alucard a lopsided smile. ]

And thanks for the offer. I think we'll need all the help we can take to get through the defense mechanism...

[Karen listens to him speak, realizing this is the man she was told about that could potentially walk outside the station. Her interest in him increases at that point, and as he speaks she's taken by his ability to command the room. He may not intentionally be trying to do so, but he poses a point that resonates with her because it's something she's been saying since the first week here. ]

That's what I've been trying to do since we all first arrived. I've been keeping track of some of the doors that won't unlock, but my primary concern is the entire seventh deck. I've tried accessing it repeatedly but I'm never successful. That may be a good place to start.

[There's a slight smile after that, and she brings a hand up to push some hair behind her ear. If he needs someone to do the brain work while he does the leg and punching work, she's all for that.]

[ Apollo nods faintly at that - yes, it does seem weird that the seventh deck is entirely locked off. He had assumed it would be more recreation decks but assumptions are dangerous in a place like this. Assumptions meant stupid mistakes. ]

That's... a really good point. [ He sighs and purses his lips in thought. ] We should keep deck seven high on our priority list. Maybe we could split in to two teams and do both?
