( a library. it seemed like it would be a sound place to find. something that held information would surely hold information about this place.

vanessa had already learned and been surprised by, what she felt like was a great deal of information about their location but it wasn't detailed, nor did it say how. she was in space, it wasn't 1892 and there were some people that were used to this lifestyle.

she needed more. how were they here, what had happened to the people that were here before, if those screams had been any indication of what had occured. vanessa didn't know where to begin other than searching on each floor. so that was what she did )

I had not thought that this was possible before arriving here.

( it was some science fiction writer's dream. the concept hadn't seemed possible to be a reality. but then the time that vanessa came from was also a part of that. not that she had yet fully accepted it -- it was as wild as being here )

It seems that more people seem to be familiar with these sorts of things.

A lot here kind of seems impossible, even to me.

[ Considering where he'd been, another planet completely, on the floor of his ship with a grenade in his sights, it seems very impossible. And Bodhi isn't sure is all completely real, just yet. ]

Pulling us from wherever we were? It doesn't seem like it should be possible.

Considering the reach that this power had, no it doesn't.

( it hadn't just brought people from different places but also different times. that was something that was concerning )

Though as this place is likely centuries past where I am from I cannot say whether this invention is normal or not.

It's hard to say. Even for me. Some of this technology is close to what I know, some of it is... not familiar. [ he shrugs, he's more concerned with the where than the when - but neither of those questions seem to be answerable at this time.

Then there's his missing friends, his team. Which is his biggest concern, at least for now - he'll rest easier knowing that they made it here (would that be such a good thing, not knowing where here is?)

Shaking himself away from those thoughts, he clears his throat. ]

It may be that all of our questions turn out to have answers, hidden as they may be.

Nice to meet you. [ A thing Bodhi has begun to get used to: meeting people in odd or otherwise dire circumstances. Being kidnapped and left on a spaceship fits recent pattern. ]

( there's a few seconds of pause, vanessa looking him over, trying to figure what she can from him )

There are many mysteries to a place like this one. I had hoped that finding certain rooms might uncover some of those secrets.

There are. [ Bodhi nods, glancing around and shoving his hands in his pockets. ]

Just be careful with those locked doors, if you try them. They have... um. [ How to say it? ] They have personality.

( one of her first misdeeds, when she'd arrived, was to get somehow stuck in the door, her arms momentarily lost. thankfully she'd been able to pull them back but not without some effort )

I plan to be more careful this time.
