Hermione's discomfort runs deep. In her world, time travel is possible, but it's very, very carefully regulated and has to be done willfully. The fact that she could have traveled through time without the effort and all the red tape is what makes her feel uncomfortable when she thinks about it. "Yes," she sighs softly. She's shattering wizarding laws talking like this with Muggles, but if she doesn't share parts of herself then how can she expect others to do the same? Every inkling of information she can get, even if it's about one person in particular, is knowledge gained and knowledge is power for Hermione. It's also comforting.
"I mean, erm...like controls, yeah," she settles, waving off the discrepancy of the man's relationship to Erik. That's inconsequential. "Perhaps looking at it might make some sense to him, so it's maybe worth showing him anyhow. I'd be happy to meet you lot and show you if you can get in touch with him and arrange it."
Hermione's brow creases in the center and she shakes her head, frowning. "No," she admits bluntly. "No, I am not. I've been in over my head a time or two, but never on my own and never without resources to research my way back out," she confesses, because why not be honest? He's already read her quite plainly, anyway. "Are you?" she asks, in return.
