❧ i. gym (man)
[Less than 11 months to go.
It's been too long already, and none of them have gotten any closer to finding a way off this wretched place. He's hardly had time to rest, drink, recover, and time is slipping away. He can't continue to wait like this, and it weighs on his heart terribly.
Alucard is presently in the gym, an incredibly long sword in his hand as he swings at the air, elegantly swiping at invisible opponents in his mind. He does not wear his jumpsuit, but rather a pair of black trousers and white tunic instead with his coat draped over a chair nearby. The focus is clear in his eyes, golden irises bordering on red.
Time is running out. How in the hell is the Sleeping Soldier meant to wake and find his scholar and hunter like this? How is he going to be able to--]
Hn!
[Abruptly, Alucard drops his sword and clutches his chest, baring his clenched fangs. He sinks down to his knees, trembling, dots of red appearing on his shirt.
There is nothing to prepare him.
A beastly noise escapes Alucard as he snarls, slamming his fist on the floor.
All he can do is continue forward, or die trying.]
❧ ii. gym (wolf)
[The pool is crystal clean.
There is nothing that could help Alucard feel comfortable enough to bare himself before others right now. It isn't as if he's ashamed of his wound, but he would rather keep it to himself. He doesn't want to think about it, its origins, what it means.
And having fur helps cover the truth of it.
If someone were to come into the gym and approach the pool, they will definitely find a large wolf throwing himself into the water and swimming away merrily. Once he reaches the end of the pool, he gallops around the edge to get back to where he started.]
❧ iii. observation deck
[The lack of windows in the station makes him feel trapped. Claustrophobic. Alucard is certain that he isn't the only one who feels the same way. The closest thing that they have to anything giving them the sensation of being open is either the gym, or this.
Alucard can be found within, calmly floating, his legs crossed lazily. Clinging to his golden waves of hair is a bat, who seems terrifically delighted to be where it is. Oddly, Alucard seems fairly preoccupied typing away, as if he's writing to someone's inbox. On occasion, he glances back up to look out the window, as if captivated by the darkness and stars out beyond.
Once he hears the door open, Alucard's shoulders slump and he sighs. The bat perks up and lets out an angry shriek, baring her fangs.]
Enough, Charlotte. [The bat continues her glaring, but settles back into his hair.]
If you wish, I can take my leave. [He tries to sound stern, but he just sounds exhausted.]

Hamsters, cats, raccoons -- all manners of animals showing up.
Though I could not say why. Perhaps it is a mixed blessing?
no subject
I'd say it's as though we're being rewarded for our cooperation or something, maybe by someone who doesn't know quite how we work. Like they took a quick glance at our cultures and thought, "Alright, people seem to like animals", and now they're dropping them in weird places. I know a bloke who found a bunch of plants in his shower. And some people have found weapons, so either the people in charge don't see us as threats, or they don't know what the weapons are.

[She's sure of it.]
At least, the people who put us here. We have no idea how much more of the station is behind all these locked doors. No one knows how big this place really is. There could be any number of people pulling the strings.
no subject
Then why do you think we were brought here?

[he doesn't sound very happy at all actually]
no subject
[The "strangers" bit isn't as awful as she makes it sound. At least, not all the time.]
no subject
People are easier to deal with than a force of nature.
no subject
What kind of force of nature did you have in mind?
no subject
I don't believe there are other people here. It is entirely possible that this place is sentient in some way, affected by either misuse of science or something else entirely.
I have seen buildings bound to someone's will before, so it was my first impression.
no subject
Well, as someone who's lived on a sentient spaceship before, I can't count it out.
no subject
Regardless, I don't know exactly what is happening. No one does. But for the moment, that feels like the most likely possibility to me. Hopefully we will know more if we reach more of the station.
no subject
[It's plausible, yeah, but she's still got her money on a crew manipulating him from behind locked doors. People are the greatest evil she's met so far.]
no subject
[Now Alucard sounds genuinely interested, tilting his head curiously.] What is a TARDIS like?
no subject
no subject
Not quite like my father's castle. [His voice sounds amused.] But close enough, I suppose.
We'll find out, eventually, if this place is anything like we know in due time.
no subject
[She gives a somewhat guarded little smile, like she's about to make a joke that's only funny to her.]
If this place was anything like a TARDIS, though, it wouldn't be giving us hallucinations or trying to kill us. It would be making the milk go sour, and ruining our love lives.
