Sew much fabric
» WHO? Jennifer & You
» WHEN? makes vague hand motions.
» WHERE? Observation area
» WHAT? Jennifer doing some sewing, offering to teach people who might be interested.
» WARNINGS? None yet, will change as needed.
[Even when she was a child, Jennifer hadn't minded chores. The tasks were often her only respite from the other children at the orphanage, and the repetitive tasks often helped her focus. She could let her mind wander a little, think about what needs to be done, what she could do more.
Everyone on this ship was just trying to survive. She didn't have any special powers, or strength to help with fighting, or any skills she could think of that would be particularly helpful with exploring the planet below or anything like that.
So, she sewed. She had torn clothes she'd found to practice on, to keep at least those skills, er, sharp (no pun intended), and repeatedly repairs, re-sews buttons, etc. She evens starts making some cloth dolls out of the scraps.
The first and only time, so far, she sticks herself with the needle, her startled reaction sends the needle flying, forcing Jennifer to carefully crawl about on hands and knees attempting to find it, patting carefully along the ground. Should anyone else come in, Jennifer is quick to look up, eyes wide]
Please watch where you step! I lost a needle, so... um... I'm sorry.
[Please don't get stabbed in the foot or something by accident plEASE]

Oh, Jennifer!
[He has a small bag in the hand he raises to greet her with, lips curving into one of his friendly-as-usual smiles.]
I have something for you.
no subject
[But that's where the pleasantries end. 'I have something for you' strikes a chord of worry in her and her expression grows hesitant, a little wary.]
What... What is it?
no subject
[He... can't quite help but be a little taken-aback by her hesitance, his own steps slowing. Maybe... he's made the wrong choice? No, there's no way. She's even sewing right now, she'll definitely like this gift!]
Oh, um... I found this in the gym. I thought you'd like to have it.
[He holds out the bag in both hands, offering it for her to take. It's a little sewing kit, a few of the tools engraved with roses.]

This is-- I... [She stammers a couple of times, speechless as she examines the kit--the roses get a wry sort of look, but even that can't diminish her shock and joy.] And you thought...to give it to me...?
[Jennifer trails off, looking to Hajime with wide, tear-filled eyes which she rapidly blinks away. One hand reaches up to brush them away with her sleeve] I-I'm sorry. I'm just not used to this. I thought there might be-- But it's normal, so... [??? ??? Jennifer what.]
I'm sorry. I love it, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
