I was a prisoner of war. A rebel group ended up dissipating my form, and then my own group ended up picking me up and putting me inside a mirror, because they thought I was a rebel. And then when they ordered a retreat, the mirror I was in was left on earth, and picked back up by the rebel group.

[She... seems nonchalant about that, but judging by the force with which she flings a huge swath of stone into the ocean... She's probably not really over it yet.]

And then their Pearl stuffed me inside her Gem and only occasionally brought me out to ask me to show things from Homeworld.

[ Apollo just stares at her bleakly as the stone smashes in to the ocean with a terrific splash. ]

Ask a stupid question... [ The words are murmured under his breath, mostly to himself. Since when did he expect anything normal from Lapis?

Then, to her, he adds: ]

Six thousand years for a big misunderstanding like that... that sounds pretty rough. What did you do inside the mirror? Could you see things? Think? Talk?

I could think, and I could see things. I couldn't do anything other than what I was asked though. And before you ask, they weren't even the ones who let me out.

Nah. He's a human. Or half-human? He's half Gem too. It's weird. [And Lapis has no problems saying that outright. But also, Lapis has no idea how that's even possible so hopefully he doesn't ask her how that's possible!]
