Just before leaving.
It's unfortunate that when she taps Alucard's head, nothing happens. So she taps it again. Harder. Still nothing.]
That's weird. [So she'll bap each of them in turn next to see if maybe it's just Alucard? Minus Apollo because he can fly in space just fine. Turn's out it's not just Alucard being weird. Awful.]
Alright, this is going to get more personal than I really wanted, but whatever, I guess.

[Alucard shrugs.] What exactly was supposed to happen? [please stop head bappies]

He blinks at Lapis, tilting his head.] Is everything alright?

Arrival planetside
There is a breathable atmosphere and gravity is similar to that of Earth, though not quite as strong (~80% of it). There is no indication that this space is immediately deadly to humans.
She's also just leaving everyone to wander around as they want.]
no subject
The good news is, he doesn't actually need to breathe and water won't harm him. If nothing else, he could simply walk or climb out of the water once he got near shore.]
its not like i dont already have a million threads with u im sorry
The landing isn't exactly the worst, but Alucard is deposited into the ocean, landing in a splashful and a noisy PLNK. For a moment he doesn't immediately wake, sinking a little before his body realizes hey this is a little off.
Alucard blinks awake, then frowns, a bit put out. Well, it could have been worse. He could have been dumped onto a bunch of rocks. Slowly, he rises out of the water, not even needing to swim as he floats a few feet above it. As he's flicking off water from his space suit, he wrenches his helmet off and shakes his hair out. It's there he spots Connor, who will... probably be fine, but he isn't about to abandon him.
He dives down and gently scoops the android into his arms, bridal style and all.]
Androids aren't precisely the most well suited for a swim, I suppose. Are you all right?

Caution Falling Rocks
Feel free to make comments about this either to her or amongst yourselves as she's removing large chuncks of cliff and turning it progressively into a cave system that is, quite frankly, quite nice.]
no subject
He hangs in mid-air - a good few meters above the cliffs - as Lapis works, watching her as she terraforms the cliffs in to something that almost looks useful. ]
So this is your day job, is it? [ Apollo sounds... impressed. ] That's actually pretty good work.
no subject
Wow, she'd be offended if she could read minds. Thankfully for him, she can't, but she does give him a look as she hauls out more stone into the water below.]
I'm a little rusty after 6,000 years. Also it's not like kindergartens are this complicated. Most of the time, anyway. Besides, if this collapses on people's heads they're gonna complain if they live.

He might not even notice the hand creeping up from the ocean to grab him, and Lapis will absolutely sink him if he doesn't manage to get away.]
Nightfall

At the moment, Alucard is seated, currently sorting though a variety of samples he's picked up so far. He hasn't been able to quite hold back on his curiosity, having taken a bit of everything: what few plants there are have been arranged, even samples of the ocean water, and a bit of skin from one of the fish.
It's still perfectly dark in here, but. Well. He's a dhampir. The night isn't exactly an issue for him.]
no subject
As he takes a seat, he turns to make a small pit.]
Oi, one of you wanna get something that might keep a fire burning? I'll start it up but I ain't keeping a fire going all night.
Connor Wandering Around (probably licking things) ~ open to the group
The atmosphere is suitable for humans. Nitrogen 75.33%, oxygen 23.01%, water vapor 1.21%, carbon dioxide 0.36%, 0.09% inorganic salts, organic matter and microbes, likely from the sea spray.
The chemical composition of organisms on the planet are similar to those found on Earth. No toxins or radiation detected. Current temperature: 73 degrees Fahrenheit.
[He crouched, recording zooming in on the algae covered rocks. Without hesitation, he dipped a finger in the green-purple goo and brought it to his mouth to 'taste' it.] Organisms similar in chemical makeup and structure to algae, lichens, and ferns seem most prevalent. These plants could be used to provide nutritional supplements to the station.
The rock is possibly basalt or gabbro.
no subject
Welp, might as well use the guy to his advantage.]
Hey Barbie! Come try these plants.
[Kira gota handful of things from the ground that he was planning on just trying to smoke but hey if the guy is over here finding out chemical makeups by licking, maybe he can streamline the process.]
no subject
Dutifully, he stood up and walked over to Kira, looking at the handful of plants he was holding with keen interest.]
Try them? Are you hoping to bring plants back to the station? I should let you know that I can only analyze chemical makeup and potential nutritional value and not palatability. [Because why else would someone ask him to sample things unless they planned to eat them at some point? Or make them available for other people eat them?
Without further delay, he took one of the plants, doing a visual inspection first before putting one of the leaves in his mouth. After a moment, he removed it and let it fall back to the ground.] It appears to have a similar structure to ferns. It holds no nutritional value and would not be digestible by humans.
no subject
He lets Connor do his thing a moment longer before interjecting curiously: ]
If you found something poisonous, would it hurt you?
no subject
No. I'm an android. I have no biological functions for a poison to affect. Furthermore, I can analyze samples, but I'm not actually ingesting them.
[He straightens his slightly damp dress shirt and adjusts the cuffs as he spoke before wiping the algae off his fingers.]
I apologize, there wasn't much time for introductions before we departed. My name is Connor. You're Apollo, right?
[With his jacket, which read ANDROID in big letters across the back, hung up to dry off, the only telling characteristic that marked him as potentially inhuman was a small, circular LED on his right temple. Otherwise, CyberLife had designed him to look and sound as human as possible.]

Alucard | open to the planet gang
[During the day, Alucard notably squints more, blinking frequently. Though he stands in the sun, he does occasionally do his best to find more in the way of shade than not. It's not the most pleasant experience, but it does him no real harm. Besides, this is the best time to go exploring.
Currently, he's taking samples wherever he can, be it plant or water or otherwise. Though Connor's analysis is incredibly helpful, he suspects that there will be others on the station interested in having a look themselves. It isn't much, but it's a start.
He glances over, then hums.]
Perhaps we should consider giving this planet a name.
❧ ii. love and birth
[Night comes, as it does. It's when he feels at his best.
Which means, Alucard can be found doing one of two things:
(a) diving into the water, perhaps to explore. Breathing is a luxury, not a requirement, after all.
(b) as a large wolf, he can be seen just running around on the rocky island they're on. For no purpose other than, it seems, just to run.]
IS THERE ANYTHING THATS WORTH MORE THAN PEACE AND LOVE ON THE PLANET EARTH
Which is, quite frankly, awful.
It also means that anyone who isn't sleeping (or pretending to) has Lapis' immediate attention.
And that means Alucard. Or rather, this weird ass random wolf, which Lapis doesn't quite connect the dots to it being Alucard. Not immediately, anyway, so instead she just kind of regards it curiously for a moment wondering what the chances are of something like this evolving in two completely separate areas of the universe. Or multiverse?]

i.
So instead of fighting the legions of angry aliens he'd been expecting (or hoping for), Apollo helps where he can, namely with helping Alucard collect little bits of local flora. He can be patient and steady where he needs to be, sampling tiny leaves and carefully putting them aside one by one. It's boring work, in all honesty, but the company is good. ]
Do you think so? [ Apollo sounds unsure but doesn't look up from his work. ] It isn't exactly our planet.

Kira Being Helpful
After getting to the planet and seeing a big ass ocean and little else, he was kind of disappointed, but HEY. There is some vegetation here. He figured Alucard would try to learn something actually helpful, and Tin Can over there was licking stuff like he was a toddler stepping outside for the first time so Kira had to find out what was most important to him.
Can he smoke any of this?
So yeah if you come across Kira he's just... squatting, four black wings sprouted from his back as he has some leaves rolled up into a makeshift cigarette... attempting ot smoke it.]
Mh. I don't think I'm gettin' anything from this.

Maybe you have to chew it.
[ An idle observation, not to be confused with encouragement. Apollo shrugs. ]
