[ Apollo throws him a mock-stern look; he knows that Alucard's joking but that doesn't stop him from carrying on the pretence. ]

God, no. Vetoed.. [ He shakes his head in theatrical despair. ] I can't believe you actually found something worse than 'Lapisland'.

[Alucard almost struggles a moment to remain stoic, to keep from laughing. He clicks his tongue and turns his head away, as if that'll smother any hint of a smile.]

[ Forgetting what he's supposed to be doing for a moment, Apollo lobs his latest sample (a clump of fern, roots and earth and all, at Alucard in retribution. ]

Don't. She might hear you and get ideas.

[reposing]

[This time he can't resist a chuckle, holding up the end of his coat to at least shield his face from the glob of sample. It lands wetly against his clothing.]

If you wish, I have a more serious proposal. Where I am from, there are many creatures that exist. Some more obscure, unwilling to meet with mortal men. Those include the liban, a type of mermaid.

It is an idea, in any case, for a planet mostly of water.

[ Returning to his work, Apollo grins hazily at the suggestion. ]

I like it. But... mermaids kill people, right?

[reposing]

You're speaking to one. [He reminds with a good sense of humor about it.]

That depends on the culture and region. Some lure humans away to devour them. This is less true of the liban, who reside in the Irish seas. It is said that they acted as messengers and mediators, more concerned with peace than strife.

[solarcharged]

Don't start. I'm still not entirely sure vampires exist.

[ Which is entirely a joke of course. Apollo surveys the ocean again, squinting in the direction of where Reverie must be orbiting - too pale and too smale to be seen by the light of day. ]

We could do with a bit more peace. [ And by 'we' he means 'they' - everyone still stuck on board the station. ] Maybe Liban isn't such a bad idea.

It's true. I could be an illusion.

[The joke is taken in stride and without a worry about how Apollo perceives the truth of it. He knows Apollo knows.]

Just a thought. I won't mind if someone prefers something else, but I prefer a name over just saying that planet over and over.
