God damn right, you should be scared of me
Who is in control?
Things have been difficult this past month, there's no other way to spin it. Between the horrible illnesses that had rampaged through the station effecting them all in different ways and all the people who disappeared over the weeks, things had been hard to process and deal with. Losing all the people from her past was proving especially trying, resulting in Rogue steadfastly trying not to think about any of it. Some days that was easier than others.
Overall, though, things were looking up - as much as they could in this place, anyway. People were recovering from the illness, things had returned to their strange version of normal, and she was starting to feel like some semblance of okay again.
She really should have known better.

I don't feel safe being within ten feet of someone else with everything this place has been doing. Makes it hard to have any kind of relationship, period.

It's hard for me to imagine, honestly.

I don't want you to imagine it. It's good that you can't. I'm so glad you don't have any powers for this place to manipulate and twist into something horrible. Not that my powers have ever not been horrible, but.
This place changed the rules and I couldn't stop it. I just walked by someone and my mutation turned on. I did everything I was supposed to to keep people safe and it didn't matter.

If the rules are broken, they're broken. That means that if this place is serious it'll just make you reach out through the nearest wall and zap a passer by. Any self-imposed isolation is just a conceit, and it won't let you kill yourself, so you might as well let me come over.

I'm in my room. Door's open.
[ Sorry, sugar, she's too comfortably cocooned in blankets to get up to let you in. ]

I knew something had happened but I didn't know what.

Thanks for this. And... for coming over. It's good to see you, sugar.
