Hello.

As I'm certain you all are aware, a roster has been sent to each of our devices. Given that this is yet another item on a growing list to be examined by us all, I believe it's important for each of us to come together to discuss any possible concerns or ideas that may require teamwork.

@PALPATINE and I earlier discussed the possibility of a non-compulsory meeting to sort through these issues. We agreed it would be in our best interests.

If you're inclined, please come to the Mess Hall at 19:00 in three day's time.

[Karen listens to him and takes interest in the fact he's a botanist. She has some input as far as the air filtration goes, but there's a more pressing matter that makes her heart lurch. She can't imagine what he must feel like right now, trying to find his daughter in a place like this.]

I haven't seen any children here. Just teenagers. But if I find her, I'll be sure to get her to you right away.

[There's a part of her that wants to warn him she may not be here. But she can't, because she knows that he's likely already thinking it. And if she's not here, then where is she? The implications that come up because of that question make her frown.]

If you need help with any of the plants, I can do that too.

( it's not just trying to find his daughter in a place like this. it was trying to find her back home, too. knowing that dr strickland, a man tasked with her health and care, has taken her. that dr strickland is working with mao, researching the protomolecule, creating these hybrids from human children and the molecule —

he's been looking for mei for what feels like a longer time than it has been, but even just one minute of it is too long. he's been struggling with not giving up hope. with coming to terms with the fact that she might be dead, that she might not be human anymore. steeling himself. and at the same time, not giving in. mei needs him.
