@all (from @r.asuka)
[ On the morning of the 15th, there is a network-wide ping issued approximately twenty-three minutes after the roster is released to the public. ]
Hello.
As I'm certain you all are aware, a roster has been sent to each of our devices. Given that this is yet another item on a growing list to be examined by us all, I believe it's important for each of us to come together to discuss any possible concerns or ideas that may require teamwork.
@PALPATINE and I earlier discussed the possibility of a non-compulsory meeting to sort through these issues. We agreed it would be in our best interests.
If you're inclined, please come to the Mess Hall at 19:00 in three day's time.
[ ooc: so! this will be broken down into sub-headings as discussed on the ooc plot post and utilized as a kind of "catch-all." if you think anything needs to be added at any time, please feel free to contact me through pm, at
rasasvada, or on disco at morning star#3715. or, you know, add it yourself! i don't mind.
noticeably, this is self-directed! if you character wants to speak or make a point to everyone, feel free to do so. no one is policing how this goes or making introductory comments or whatever else. open floor, y'all. ]

Fine, he wasn't going to go easy on his 'meat'. In fact, he was going to flex his muscles more than was necessary, leaning into the tackle and digging his feet into the floor as he goes to just grab Akira by the ribs if he could. gain, that was more force than he'd expected, more than an average human would have, especially at the size he was.
Gritting his teeth, Kira lifts an arm as he steps to a side, then bringing down his elbow with a quick jab, hoping to catch him on the spine.
He might have gone easier on him if there were some manners in the engagement, or if he did not have such an unsavory audience. As it was though, he was going to be coming after Ryo once he was done with his boy toy.]

He can basically sense it. He knew that Ryo would come tagging along eventually, so if he turned to see him now, he wouldn't be surprised. But, as it is, he has this uppity asshole to pound into the ground (phrasing), and he's learned better than to allow himself to get too easily distracted.
There's a low satisfaction that thrums through his muscles as he slams into Kira's torso, arms locking around him, and honestly... it's better that he only skids back a step or to, bracing himself against the full weight and strength he'd thrown into the tackle. He's digging in his feet as well, about to try to twist him to one side or the other to try to get him off-balance, when Kira tries to gain the upper-hand through the grapple of hands at his sides. A low growl issues from the pit of his chest, and he's about to do something about it but - fuck, this guy is faster than he would've thought. He feels the point of his elbow come down against his back like the crack of a lightning bolt, and in a split-second decision Akira decides to go with the downward force of it, arms loosening to let go of Kira so he can drop to the floor.
He lands on all fours with the grace of a cat, head canted down towards the floor, and an odd, thorough shudder shakes his entire body. When he turns his face back up towards Kira, his eyes are bright in contrast to his dark, wild hair and the darker shade of gray that his skin has melted into. A wide grin bares sharp teeth.]
You're hiding something.
[He can almost smell it. A coiling of strength and energy passes through his body and then he leaps at Kira with a force that is definitely not human, seeking to knock him off of his feet.
He's going to try to force him to show his hand, however he needs to.]

[Kira grins at the way that he was called out. Clearly, this guy was also hiding something, so it wasn't like he felt the need to get defensive.
In any case, he's finally knocked off of his feet with that second tackle, which ends up with him underneath Akira, a pretty bad spot for him to be, considering that his speed was his advantage in the situation. Kira wasn't planning on showing his hand that easily though, just one tackle?
It was so strange to see someone just transforming in front of him so easily, but he was stubborn, and instead of relying upon any of his supernatural powers he reached up to attempt to grab at Akira's head, thumbs jabbing for the other man's eyes. He had to spend a decade as a human, some of which he did fight demons during! So. He'd give it some time before he broke out any kind of magic.]

Guess so.
[Before he'd been given this body, it had been less the case for him — he was a naturally honest person, having decided long ago that it was both best and easiest for him to wear his heart on his sleeve and let others discern what they may from it. He still did that, sure, but he kept close to his chest the finer details of what it was he was and what he could do.
But sometimes it spilled over a little bit, which was what was happening now. He's not perfect, and neither is his self-control, and there's a lot of demon stuffed into his limited human form.
The impact with the floor shudders through him from his hands and knees inward, eliciting a fiendish grin to spread across his face. He hadn't even planned what to do if he did manage to pin Kira, and he doesn't quite get a chance to figure it out — the guy is fast, wrapping his hands around the sides of his head and driving his thumbs towards his eyes. Akira screws his eyes shut instinctually, growling; there's a sharp ratchet in his body temperature, his skin becoming distinctly hot to the touch. He immediately jerks his head back, sitting up and lifting up his hands to attempt to wrap them powerfully around Kira's wrists. He slowly tries to yank the other young man's hands away from his head, sharp teeth bared in a feral snarl, eyes slowly fluttering back open, glaring through a haze of tears inspired by the sudden pain.]
That, [he growls, low in his throat, using every ounce of his strength to try to pin back Kira's arms,] was a dick move.
no subject
Ah, sorry.
[Kira didn't sound sorry, and of course he wasn't. It was a pain that he was stuck here under this supernaturally strong guy. Kira would let himself lose, if the guy wasn't clearly nonhuman. He had definitely come into this expecting an easy win, thinking he could just throw his weight around in order to defend that blond crapsack. Again, reiterating that this guy was the muscle for a guy who thought he could just get away with anything.
He responded to the thought and to the feeling of his hands slamming into the ground with an inhuman growl of his own before he was pushed upwards by his wings sprouting from his back. Not something he liked to do, but if he didn't have pure strength and the use of his hands, he'd have to use magic in order to satisfy his Pride, and his Wrath.
Just as soon as the wings appeared, Kira quickly send a blast of gale-force winds upwards from where he was in an attempt to knock the guy off so he could get the use of his hands back.]
Wasn't aware we were playing with bitch rules. I guess you don't want me kicking you in the nuts either?
no subject
(Though it had been quite a different situation, then...)
Akira was already beginning to lean back, his grasp on Kira's wrists loosening, thinking he should reassess and figure out a better way to approach this. And then he was hit in the face by the blast of wind; it hit him like a freight train in the chest, flinging him upwards into the air, ass over ears. As he hangs there for a moment at the zenith of his arc, right before he begins to fall, he seems to struggle oddly — his hands grasping at his chest, tugging at the zipper at the top of his jumpsuit, tugging it down just enough so that he could wriggle his shoulders free and loose his own wings in the space that he created. It's a bit awkward and cumbersome; he growls, freeing his arms from the rest of the confines of the coveralls as he flaps laboriously to maintain height.
This form is not elegant, nor is it terribly efficient. It is two contentious siblings fighting over the single controller for a video game console, torn between the knowing power of the demonic influence and the strict limitations of the human form. But he manages to keep himself aloft, the stripes running from where the wings sprouted from his back over his shoulders dark against his skin, and he looks down to where Kira was some twenty or thirty feet below him.]
Not unless you want me to stop fightin' with the kid gloves on, shithead.
[And then he's diving towards Kira, fast, his wings folded up close to him so he looks like a bullet speeding through the air. If he's still where he is on the ground when he reaches it, it's probably gonna hurt quite a bit.]
no subject
He uses wind magic to help his speed, Kira's wings opening as he steps backwards to allow Akira to land in front of him rather than at a side.]
You were the one who wasn't happy fighting a human.
[Just not good enough for him. Kira didn't want to kill him though, so he was still going to be pulling punches. In fact, he'd decided now that he'd only use wind magic, which was nice enough to include healing at least.
So instead of pulling out a sword or any of his more offensive types of magic, Kira responds to the nosedive by waiting until he's near the ground and then dashing at him, an open hand attempting to grab his head in order to throw it toward the ground.]
no subject
Does he want him to feel bad? Because he doesn't. He hasn't had much good reason to fight anyone in a while, and certainly not against someone he could effectively go toe-to-toe with. At first he simply responds to the cutting statement with a wide grin.]
Aw, come on. [There's a playfully dark tone to his voice.] Holdin' back isn't any fun.
[Plenty ironic, considering even transformed as he is, this is technically "holding back" for him. But transforming into Devilman here would be a pretty bad idea. He gets pretty rowdy. It wouldn't be good if he ended up perforating the hull of the spaceship.
Now. The thing about putting your hand anywhere near a devilman's face:
He's going to try to bite it. That's it. Akira doesn't even try to avoid it. He's just trying to straight-up bite Kira's hand.]
