» WHO? Aqua and A2.
» WHEN? 5/28
» WHERE? Deck 5.
» WHAT? Dirtbot helps grandma learn how to use the Internet.
» WARNINGS? None.
[When Aqua wakes, it takes her some time to adjust. She doesn't remember anything, and the fog over her mind and the odd taste in her mouth dull her cognizance enough that she blearily traces the grooves of the metallic walls with her fingers and tries very hard to think about where she is and what exactly happened.
The device's message is ominous, but only vaguely without context. Is it possibly connected to the Unversed...?
The bottles on the wall don't interest her, meanwhile, and the lack of windows offer no immediate clue. The dreary halls outside of the room yield nothing either, except that she's back in space, and it takes her a deck or so to realize that those are doors lining the worn corridors, but she doesn't investigate them right away. It isn't until she hears...distant talking, which gives her a goal that sharpens her mind. That is, getting information from a native of this world. She's done it many times before, although she's a little warier after what happened in Deep Space (which is her closest experience with a space structure), and approaches quietly. Not that it makes a huge difference, because she can't tell where the strange woman's authority lies even with careful inspection at a distance, though she looks as rough as the rest of the station so far. And she's...muttering gruffly into her wrist, for some reason?
Well, no harm in trying to get her attention. Actually, from what Aqua can see, that device on the woman's wrist reminds Aqua of her own! Weird.]

Hey, are you talking to someone?

Although Aqua meant it when she said she couldn't think of anything...she considers, and steps further into the room.]
You can stay and talk to me if you'd like. I haven't had company in awhile.
[Or a bed, which she sits on to test it out. Not as nice as home, but better than the ground.]
Don't let me keep you if not, though. I won't be hurt.
[She's going to just lay here and keep chatting with the internet otherwise.]
no subject
Like I said, I've got nothing better to do for today. There isn't really much else to do on the station. [Especially when you don't need food or exercise, to be honest.]
no subject
Meanwhile, Aqua raises a brow at A2 from where she's laying.]
So...you're bored?
[Wow, and here Aqua thought someone wanted to hang out with her!!!
She's not actually offended.]
no subject
Not really. I could find something to do if I really wanted to. I'd rather make myself useful to a human, though.
no subject
A2's reasoning is hard for Aqua to parse also, since A2 looks very human herself at a glance. Although the number in her name, like a lot of things in this station, remind Aqua distinctly of Deep Space.]
You want to talk to me because I'm human?
[Aqua asks then, genuinely curious. It's a really weird statement to make!]
no subject
[She's not particularly offput by that. In fact, she sounds less annoyed than she has previously.]
A2 this is a lot already
...I see.
[Except again, she does not comprehend.]
So being around humans makes you happy? [That part makes sense, at least.] And that explains what you said about Alucard too.
[A2, friend to mankind only...?]
at least aqua knows this up front now,
ITS A LOT
Aqua fixes her with a Look.]
What's so funny?
:)
A2 has a purpose again, after so long. It's nice.]
no subject
[That seems...really weird.
Pointless, if Aqua had to use a word for it. Possibly cruel, though it's already odd to think A2 feels obligated with regards to Aqua and other humans. Aqua appreciates respect, sure, but...
But maybe it's not so unusual. Every world is different! No better, no worse, right?]
no subject
[A2 says simply, without getting into too much detail.]
I've downloaded some first aid stuff, so I'm not completely useless, since there isn't much fighting here.
no subject
Aqua rolls onto her side, tapping out a message on her device.]
Have you been here awhile?
[She's definitely curious to know what A2 does with her time too, if her main skill is useless here. Since that means Aqua's main skill is pretty useless as well.................]
no subject
[Just as stuck as everyone else. ]
no subject
[Like, an android and a vampire or going to have radically different perspectives as a rule? And see different things, since mystery boy mentioned ghosts? He was the only one to mention ghosts.
She frowns at A2 thoughtfully.]
I guess I'm just hoping someone can say something that makes this make sense...like a clue.
[So she can fix it!!]
no subject
They pushed A2 down :(]
I guess. [She shrugs.]
I'd help, but I don't exactly know what kind of clue you're looking for.
a2 getting bullied: what else is new
Aqua, who sighs and rolls onto her back (so restless) because honestly?]
I don't know either.
[It's frustrating!!]
Don't worry about it for now. You've been so kind already, I really couldn't ask for more.
[And won't! She's an independent human who doesn't need no android.]
no subject
I'm serious though. If you know what kind of a clue you're looking for, it'd be best to share it with everyone else. More people means more things being found out.
no subject
At A2's response, Aqua makes an interesting expression? Like she doesn't disagree, exactly, but she tilts her head away, tapping at her network device.]
...Like I said, I don't know yet. I just feel like there has to be something.
[None of your business, basically.]
no subject
Are you getting the hang of the network at least?
no subject
Aqua brightens considerably at the change in topic, turning her head to look at A2 and smiling like she wasn't being iffy two seconds ago.]
Mhm! Thank you, A2.
[She couldn't have done it without you!]
If I'm not careful I might get addicted to it. Do they have things like this where you're from?
no subject
[What with, you know, everyone being dead and those who are still alive not liking her!
Except Anemone.]
no subject
[Aqua doesn't quite gather all that from A2's statement.
A2 just seems somewhat distant as a rule, even if she's decided to join Aqua for a bit.]
But you do use this one.
[Aqua lifts her wrist for emphasis. It's basically what got them talking to one another to begin with!]
no subject
More people to keep in contact with here anyway. [More people who matter, at least. And there's more people who might potentially need A2's help.] I'm sure you'll come to appreciate it as well. It's handy enough.
no subject
She tilts her head A2's way again as well after a beat, curious.]
Do androids sleep, A2?
[It's not a totally random question, since that's probably what Aqua's going to do in a bit. She hasn't rested in awhile.
She doesn't want to chase her guest off just yet, though.]
this thread is a far cry from aqua throwing A2 out a window
we absolutely have to make up for it later,
throw 9S out an airlock for her instead
djngfdffdk A2 cant have a defense squad!!! unnatural
