[ Jon mostly approached because he has also been sitting by himself, nursing a single drink, trying to convince himself to stay. It's a small community. Socializing is important. But he hates parties. The comment, though, that makes things a lot more interesting, and the nosiness that has been his lifelong companion rears its head. ]

How does that work, exactly?

Alcohol goes to the blood stream. As a result, if I drink it, it will effect me.

However, if I just have what you are having, it will do nothing to me. Such as it is for vampire lineage.

They can communicate, I believe telepathically? But they do not have, er... tongues.

A strange variation I've not heard of before, but I'm finding that vampires in other worlds are peculiar.

Vampires look quite a bit like men where I am from, none lacking tongues from what I've heard.
