@hinatahajime;hey, uh... i found a nantendo 64 console and some games in the command center. so add that to the list of random crap we've found, i guess
the better news is that it's all multiplayer stuff. there's a racing game, a party game, and a fighting game. i'm going to test it all out and make sure it works, but assuming it does, would anybody mind if i set it up in the bar near the VR room? i'd like to get a bunch of people together so we can really test the multiplayer. if it all works i'll probably just leave it there so anyone can play itmingle; open![As he said in his earlier post to the network, he's set up the Nantendo-brand console near the VR room, plugged into one of the terminals. There are four controllers plugged into the console that definitely look like NES controllers, but they all work. There's also three games to choose from! Mario Marco's Carts, Marco's Party, and Excellent Slam Sisters Fisticuffs (Smash Bros. It's Smash Bros.) All game avatars are strangely customizable and surprisingly good at rendering what the player actually looks like, but it's fine. Don't question it too much.]a; set-up[--Is actually surprisingly easy. Hajime had been a little concerned about what kind of nest of wires he'd have to deal with, but once the system is hooked up to the terminal itself, it powers on just like normal.]It doesn't need a power source, huh...? Does it charge wirelessly like my Game Girl...?
[Now that he's looking at it more closely, he doesn't even see a place for a cord to plug into the wall. Well that's weird.]I guess I'll try Marco's Carts first...
[Sorry if you were trying to enjoy your drinks in peace. Hajime has a bad habit of talking out loud to himself when he thinks he's alone.]b; vidya gaem[Once people have actually started showing up, whether they meant to or not, Hajime's pretty quick to surrender controllers and encourage them to play. Have a seat, try not to ruin any friendships with Marco's Party. Turn them into drinking games? He won't stop you. Not that he doesn't want to play, too, but he'll play later. For now, he's happy watching other people play. It's almost enough to forget how terrible the station can be. Almost.
He brought his handheld Nantendo Game Girl, too, but the only game on that is a single-player Galaga Gala Omega. He's not playing it right now, but it's on the table nearby if anybody wants to try their hand at it.]Have you ever played any of these before? They're pretty popular where I come from.
c; wildcard[Hajime's going to be hanging around for a while, on-hand to fix any technical errors that might come up with the console (just blow in the cartridge, it's fine) or just chat about video games, home, hanging out, etc. I'm also gonna be tagging top-levels when I can so. points at eyes points at yall]
