Where I'm from, any force-wielder with darkness in their hearts could hurt someone this way. I don't know of anyone on board who fits that description, but that doesn't mean there isn't such an individual. If they were motivated by the Dark Side, they certainly wouldn't be open about it.

A kind of energy-field.

[ the guy that pipes up is kind of out of the way, and was he there this whole time?? huh. he's not exactly tall, and he's dressed all in plain black, so maybe he's just easily overlooked.

he unfolds his arms to gesture, head tilting. ]

Some of us from that reality have the capability to tap into it and use it. It grants us a number of abilities, like telekinesis, telepathy, things like that.

[ she opens her mouth to respond to kovacs when another man is suddenly answering for her. her eyes glimmer a moment, relieved that someone finally knows what she's saying. she starts to reach for revan's arm, but knowing some people on this barge could be cagey about touch, it drops before jyn can complete the connection. ]

Are you one with the Force? [ he said us. ]

[ despite himself, he's grateful for the discretion in her choice not to touch him. while most of the time, he's fine with it, there's still days when it's.. difficult.

the question earns a small, wan smile. ]

Jedi once. It was.. a long time ago, though. I don't see eye-to-eye with the Order any longer.

[ a jedi? here? conflict passes over her face, but she has to focus on what's important- ]

So you would be able to sense it, if another Force user were in vicinity?

[warcried]

Correct. [ his glance flicks from her to the others in their vicinity, then back to her. ] I keep a close watch on other Force users that awaken here. Given what we're capable of, we can't afford to be in conflict with one another.

So there are others?

[warcried]

Yes. [ he pointedly doesn't volunteer more information, or their names. some know them already, of course, but he doesn't want anyone harassing ren or rey for something they're not a part of. ] They're from long, long after my time, after the Order and the Sith are wiped from the galaxy.

[adjy]

[ jyn nods, understanding the urge to protect those you know. if this man trusts they weren't the culprits then she will have to do the same until it's proven otherwise. ]

And what, may I ask, is your time?

[warcried]

[ he hesitates, not certain if he should really get into it now, but after a moment shrugs. ]

Four thousand years prior to the others, give or take.

[ she tips her head to the side. ]

At my time, the Order nor the Empire has fallen yet. I'm not sure where that places us in relation to one another.
