[Leading up to the meeting start, Mike can found off to one side with a hip perched on the edge of a console. He's got one eye on his communicator, watching the time, and the other on the door, noting as people begin to trickle in.

He's pleased, and a bit relieved, as the number grows. They wouldn't be able to make progress without active involvement.

He gives a nod, or a curl of the mouth when he makes eye contact with someone (depending on how well he knows them), and straightens attentively if someone approaches him. Offering them his full attention.]

MILLER | OTA | throughout meeting

[ miller gets there long before most everyone else, around the same time as mike himself. he's wearing a serious expression and his new duds. his belt buckle and holster are both printed with the same logo. even if he isn't the biggest fan of them and never turns them on, he's also wearing his station-issue mag-boots, a habit from his time aboard the rocinante. he's here to make sure things don't get out of hand, but also to contribute what ideas he has for getting the station unlocked and getting everyone back where they belong.

if someone makes eye contact with him, however fleeting or un/intentional, he's sliding right over to them and tipping his hat in greeting. ] You got anything to add?

( while jim feels like he's settling in decently, this meeting still sounds like a great opportunity to see what's been gone, what's being done and where he could get himself involved to help.

he's heard about various projects from individual people but better to get the big picture. he's eager to get his hands dirty and to occupy himself so he doesn't have to think about his own life and how he'd left things for his crew.

he mingles around, chatting with people he knows and trying to introduce himself to anyone he sees and doesn't know. sure, this space station is floating aimlessly in the middle of a system he knows nothing about but that's no excuse not to be friendly! )

[ He thinks he's late, but he's actually a few minutes early, looking a little harried.

He'll say hi to anyone he knows, as well as introduce himself to those he doesn't.

For those that do know him, the appearance of two healed scars on his cheek is very strange. Where the hell did he get them? ]

( it's only at miller's urging that kovacs has shown up. he stands at the back of the room, not hiding but not exactly making himself known either. he'd considered telling everyone what had happened to him since if it could happen to someone with his conditioning and training, it could happen to anyone but he wasn't sure.

arms crossed and expression unreadable, kovacs does actually pay attention and he doesn't do anything childish like roll his eyes or snort under his breath. maybe he was growing as a person.

or maybe he was still just angry at this fucking place. )

Karen Page | ota

[Karen gets there ridiculously early to help set up and get things ready. She makes polite small talk with anyone else around, but seems pretty focused on what's going on in her own head. But as more people start to arrive she almost relaxes, pleased by the turnout. She keeps to the front of the crowd, but doesn't bother with a seat. She's going to have plenty to say once the meeting gets started, and figures that will likely end in moving around.

If she spots someone she knows, she'll make eye contact and offer them a smile. If that doesn't get them to approach her, she'll make her way through the crowd to them. If someone she doesn't really know yet stands close, she'll turn to ask them if they're going to be speaking today.]

Erik Lehnsherr | OTA

[ The last time they had one of these, Erik skipped it. He didn't trust the other residents not to riot. This time it's different. He's more comfortable in his position among the residents, and wants to be a voice for those like him who have found themselves on the wrong side of the status quo more often than not. And with Charles abdicating any sort of leadership, it falls to him to be an advocate in particular for himself and the other mutants.

He wears his black suit (sans hat and glasses) and stands at the back. Because he is one of the taller residents, and he still isn't quite comfortable with any of this. He's also not entirely decided on what he's going to say, yet, which irritates him. He generally likes to be better prepared. He glances at whomever is next to him. ]

[Elektra will be sure to come early and do a grand total of nothing without being prompted to. It's pretty clear to anyone watching that's she's here to hang out. When no one is talking, she's play on her device like some bored teenager. Nothing really seems to catch her interest. At least she isn't being outright rude when people are talking. She appears to be listening even if her eyes are wandering around like she's looking for something more interesting to pay attention to.]

kamala khan | ota - throughout the meeting

[Kamala shows up as early as possible because she is probably the shortest person here. Where she decides to sit will determine if she can actually hear or see anything going on. She'll still help if asked to, of course! It's pretty clear she's going to be aggressive about keeping that seat though.

Once the meeting starts properly, she's all business. Kamala is paying close attention to everything said here. When the time comes? She's absolutely going to speak up. Big meetings tend to bring a bit of chaos. While she might be the tiniest person here, she's actually pretty good at getting people to cooperate for the greater good.]

Adrian "Alucard" Ţepeş | OTA

[At the moment, Alucard isn't socializing, which is probably hard to be surprised about with the station's sole (half)vampire. He's currently concentrating on his watch, as if reading and sorting through data before typing furiously.

He does glance up, from time to time, not entirely opposed to conversation, but he isn't initiating either.]

Connor ~ throughout the meeting ~ OTA

[Connor had been keen to come to the meeting although he would only be able to stay for a little while before he'd be heading down to the planet with Lapis and whoever else she'd decided to bring along.

Most notably, he was no longer sporting the station's jumpsuit but clothing from home which clearly showed his model and serial number as well as read 'ANDROID' on the back in big letters.

He was attentive and quiet, but happy to engage in conversation if approached.]

Naoya Toudou | OTA

[At first glance, Naoya appears aloof compared to a lot of others around. He's scanning around to see if other familiar people are here, but if spoken too, will wave and grin at them. Otherwise, he'll be standing up, hands on his hips instead of crossed.]

Meeting

[You can take the man out of the military, but not the military training out of the man. At precisely 0900, Mike will step into the front of the room and clear his throat. He takes a moment to thank everyone for coming, and then, seeing no reason to delay, he'll move with easy efficiency onto the reason why everyone's come.

He'll introduce each topic as it was brought to his attention, introducing the topic first, and then allowing those with the most pertinent information to take the floor. He'll offer his own opinions and thoughts from time to time, but he's mostly moderating - keeping the meeting moving, and stepping in when passions get a bit too heated. He'll diffuse arguments as best he can before they get worse, but if they do, he has helping hands in the crowd ready and willing to break anything up before anyone gets hurt.

When one topic seems properly chewed over, he'll move to the next one, and repeat.

Midnighter The Bouncer.

Midnighter came here to be a bouncer. He is bouncering. Standing quietly and as unobtrusively as a six-foot-five mountain of muscle can, he listens to the flow of the conversation, and rarely interjects.

Verbally, anyway. If he thinks your comment is dumb, he'll roll his eyes. If he thinks your comment is especially dumb, he'll make a jerking-off motion with his hand.

He's great at deescalation, trust him.

Post-Meeting

[At long last, Mike will take the floor one last time to bring the meeting to an end. He'll thank everyone again, and say that he hopes it helped. Then, because they've got their work cut out for them, let's get to it.

Divide out into interested groups, go back to talking about whatever you were before the meeting, go get lunch. Take a nap. The day's once again yours.

After everyone has said their piece and are on their way to do whatever the hell it is people do on this station, Miller hangs back to get Mike's feedback. Overall, it seemed... successful, if not wholly productive. He thinks they'll be into the Library and the rest of the ships by the end of the week so they can call it a win, more than likely. Except for one thing that wasn't on the docket. It seems like something no one wants to openly discuss, Miller included.

"It's about time for the Station to start fighting back again." He leans in close to say it even though it's no secret, and even though he knows Mike knows. The first week of each month, for those who kept track, was always met with some strange new challenge and the detective is willing to bet this new month will be no different.
