NAMEHERE
planting time( vanessa starts in the hydroponics area, checking the seeds they have against the list that she'd been sent a few weeks ago. she'd been discussing various methods of how to maximise what they had and spread the various plants out across the station. vanessa was no expert but she hoped to be of some help.
she'd taken a small container with her of everything that she'd needed, looking at the planting areas scattered throughout the corridors. she worked slow but carefully. it was different to her experience in the woods, tools that she hadn't had then and even different seeds but it was a reminder of a life that here you could forget.
and she felt useful. here on this station, surrounded by technology and things that she didn't know or understand vanessa felt out of her depth. at least this job was familiar and something that, even with the passage of centuries, was something that hadn't changed )video time( she almost doesn't notice it. she'd been looking for so long in the library for any information that she could find, histories or details of the people that had once been here that vanessa had needed a change of scenery. the command areas aren't somewhere that vanessa often comes but she'd needed to walk somewhere almost unfamiliar.
it's why she almost misses it. she isn't paying too much attention to the consoles, walking around the room absentmindedly. the voice catches vanessa part way through the message, details of love and a feeling that she'd stepped into something incredibly private. but she can't stop listening, not as the details start pouring in. this was someone that had been living here previously and, though how personal it is, it was something that she'd been looking for. if only his words about the drive or a boost made any sense to her -- perhaps someone else could help her figure it out )
